We’ll be posting more on our upcoming album in the weeks to come, but first we wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted for us to play the Des Moines Music Coalition’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) festival on May 28th. With your support we were able to snag one of the two spots reserved for community selected artists. It’s been a goal of ours to play GDP for a number of years now, so to be a part of this year’s stellar lineup and to have gotten in based on community support means a lot to us. We will be kicking off the festival at 5 pm at Wooly’s on Saturday May 28th.

On another semi-related note, our track “34” was selected as one of 15 songs for the CarpeDM Music Mix Vol. III compilation album. This compilation is the result of a collaboration between the Des Moines Music Coalition and the Greater Des Moines Partnership, and was promoted at the Des Moines Embassy during South by Southwest this March in Austin, TX.

We can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on with everyone. Thank you so much for your continued support!!!

About Gross Domestic Product

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is an all Iowa music festival held every spring, featuring musical artists from Greater Des Moines and the rest of Iowa.

The 11th annual Gross Domestic Product will take place on May 28th, 2016 at venues around the East Village in Des Moines, Iowa! See the full line-up and details here.

The purpose of Gross Domestic Product is to highlight some of the original songwriters, performers, and recording artists in our community who make Iowa proud! GDP focuses primarily on young, new artists, those who are taking their first steps into creative self-expression through music and doing so in a positive, collaborative way. Each year we highlight a selection of new artists that our community has to offer, along with a few established groups that have had success building careers while living and working in the state we call home.

Established in spring 2006, GDP has featured over 100 musical acts, including House of Large Sizes, The Envy Corps, The Poison Control Center, Christopher the Conquered, Mumford’s, Facecage, and many more.
